Millbrook Studios Wrapped Birthday Card

Company: A-Line Greeting Cards

Card SKU 03648

Software: Adobe Illustrator , Adobe Photoshop , Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat

My task was to design everyday card designs for the Millbrook Studio Wrapped line. This card in particular was assigned as a birthday general card. Using the provided image, I created a print floral pattern for the background. Various layers are were then applied on top. This card will be made using gold foil for the cover text. So I needed to create the foil layer and set the files up correctly for production. The inside verse was written and edited. Finally, a PDF was uploaded with all the production layers combined as a mock up for proofing.

VMA cookbook

Software: Adobe InDesign

This InDesign document was required to be populated with photos and instructions on how to cook a dish. We were to use the master page to add a 1.5” wide sidebar to the outside edges of the pages. A selection of paragraph styles was applied to define the text. My own photographs were taken to populate the spread. After completion, all the creations from the creative technologies class were all put together to create a VMA Cookbook.

Kim Bailey Brown Blog

Creating blog posts

Client: Kim Bailey Brown

Software: WordPress

I created many blog posts for Kim Bailey Brown’s staging site. I used her old blog posts as a template on WordPress and then used the Avada builder to import the “blog template”. I added all the content from the post and had to edit and organize it in a way to resemble older posts. I had to set a featured image to each and publish the new updated post.

I was asked to help work on the new updated website for Abigail’s Tea House in St. George. This was a very gratifying experience for me because I went to that tea house for my birthday when I was young; so being able to work on their website years later was something I would have never imagined doing. I designed the full menu page under the dining tab. The photos and menu that I received from the company had to be cropped and edited before placing them onto the page.
